Previously known as 'Category A' or 'Category B' Clinical Wastes, with a European Waste Code 18-01-03, this is waste which, unless rendered safe, may prove hazardous to any person coming into contact with it. In a healthcare environment, unless segregation of wastes by risk assessment has been undertaken, all following examples must be considered as Clinical / Hazardous Waste: waste which consists wholly or partly of human or animal tissue, blood or other bodily fluids, excretions, swabs and dressings. It also includes pus, vomit, faeces and urine. In accordance with all Government legislation, Natural Healthcare will manage the disposal of this infectious / potentially infectious waste; provide assistance on individual patient risk assessments and guarantee all necessary documentation is certified and maintained. Clients include Nursing & Residential Homes, Dental Practices, Doctors and Medical Centres, Tattooists, Laboratories, Funeral Directors.
