Our Team

Emma Hughes

Director & General Manager

Emma co-established Natural Hygiene back in 1998 and her dedication to detail and customer service has been instrumental in making our business the largest independent washroom services and clinical waste collection company in Wales. Emma understands the importance of good customer relations and, in an effort to support the local economy, insists on sourcing local products and suppliers.

Nick Mathias

Commercial Manager

Nick is responsible for the strategic development of Natural UK sales and marketing activities. With over twenty years’ management experience in sales and marketing, Nick has gained a wealth of practical knowledge and involvement in developing positive sales strategies, customer retention schemes, people development and the setting of budgets and forward projections.

Nick has been directly involved in the clinical and hygiene waste markets for many years and has a thorough understanding of both the locality and requirements of our business sectors.

Richard Jones

Projects Manager

Richard is a Chartered waste manager with over 15 years in the waste management industry. He has worked for two of the major waste management companies in the UK, being employed in a variety of commercial and operational roles. Previous to waste management, Richard was involved in various commercial, managerial and technical roles within the Oil exploration sector and Ready Mixed Concrete industry. Recently, Richard has operated as an independent management services expert to the Waste Management sector and has worked closely with a number of SME waste and recycling companies in South Wales. He offers a broad spectrum of technical and commercial development expertise and skills that complement our existing waste management and recycling businesses.

Rob Poyer

Director & Development Manager

Rob has been involved in the waste management industry for most of his career, working in a variety of senior management and project management roles; this included developing and managing three large landfill operations in Wales as regional landfill manager. In 2004, Rob decided to concentrate his efforts as Managing Director and joint shareholder of Natural UK Limited and has since developed a profitable waste collection and environmental management business.

His specialist knowledge on waste management legislation and his expertise in the development and operation of waste treatment and disposal facilities has enabled us to develop our unique waste treatment facility – to recover and re-use the paper fibre and plastics from traditional offensive wastes that would otherwise be disposed of at landfill.

Scott Poyer

Scott joined the company in late 2019 and is tasked with finding and developing new markets for the end products of our NappiCycle process.

When faced with the prospect of utilising our NappiCycle output to create, develop and expand relationships with new and existing business opportunities, we realised we needed someone who would take a completely fresh approach to the task. From the recycling of paper cups to the production of bioethanol fuels, Scott is involved in all aspects of our recycling and recovery process, liaising with Universities, manufacturers and Welsh Government.
