Our Story

We are the largest independent washroom services and clinical waste collection and management company in Wales, with over 850+ customers throughout the South West and Wales. We have two distinct divisions; Hygiene (Washrooms) & Healthcare (Offensive Hygiene and Infectious / Hazardous Wastes).

We also have the exclusive rights to NappiCycle, a unique and innovative treatment system for the recovery of cellulose and plastics from nappy and incontinence wastes.

Emma

Emma Hughes

Director

BIOGRAPHY
Emma co-established Natural Hygiene back in 1998 and her dedication to detail and customer service has been instrumental in making our business the largest independent washroom services and clinical waste collection company in Wales. Emma understands the importance of good customer relations and, in an effort to support the local economy, insists on sourcing local products and suppliers.
Richard

Richard Jones

Projects Manager

BIOGRAPHY
Richard is a Chartered waste manager with over 15 years in the waste management industry. He has worked for two of the major waste management companies in the UK, being employed in a variety of commercial and operational roles. Previous to waste management, Richard was involved in various commercial, managerial and technical roles within the Oil exploration sector and Ready Mixed Concrete industry. Recently, Richard has operated as an independent management services expert to the Waste Management sector and has worked closely with a number of SME waste and recycling companies in South Wales. He offers a broad spectrum of technical and commercial development expertise and skills that complement our existing waste management and recycling businesses.
Rob

Rob Poyer

Director

BIOGRAPHY
Rob has been involved in the waste management industry for most of his career, working in a variety of senior management and project management roles; this included developing and managing three large landfill operations in Wales as regional landfill manager. In 2004, Rob decided to concentrate his efforts as Managing Director and joint shareholder of Natural UK Limited and has since developed a profitable waste collection and environmental management business.

His specialist knowledge on waste management legislation and his expertise in the development and operation of waste treatment and disposal facilities has enabled us to develop our unique waste treatment facility – to recover and re-use the paper fibre and plastics from traditional offensive wastes that would otherwise be disposed of at landfill.

Sharon

Sharon Jones

Head of Procurement

BIOGRAPHY
Sharon joined Natural UK back in 2016, having previously worked in both hotel and property development; her experience of logistics, accounts and administration making her the perfect candidate for the position.

Sharon had also spent several years as a children’s Nanny, in both the UK and abroad, before settling back in Carmarthenshire.

Lauren

Lauren Sullivan

Accounts Controller

BIOGRAPHY
Lauren joined us at Natural UK back in 2018, having spent several years working in the accountancy department of an industrial manufacturing company. She brings a fresh perspective to the business and a keen sense of detail.

Lauren continues to further develop her accounts qualifications, studying locally at Swansea College.

Lewis

Lewis Poyer

Finance Manager

BIOGRAPHY
Lewis started working for Natural UK back in 2017.

Originally joining as a Finance Assistant, he has been able to continuously develop his accountancy skills through balancing his busy work schedules with external training. Lewis is now a fully qualified Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and is working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant within the coming years. Lewis’ attention to detail allows him to effectively oversee the finances of Natural UK & its associated companies.

Emily

Emily Jenkins

Operations Manager

BIOGRAPHY
Having joined Natural UK back in 2019, Emily is now our Operations Manager.

Emily had been involved in customer services and people-development throughout her career, as well as having gained invaluable insights into the healthcare sector. With most of her time spent within the hospitality sector, it seemed like a perfect fit to come and join us at Natural UK.

As Operations Manager, it is Emily’s responsibility to ensure the smooth transition of information from one department to another, as well as providing administrative and support services for our ever-growing fleet of collection and delivery vehicles. She manages all customer database information, creates new customer accounts and plans, schedules and manages existing business.

Angharad

Angharad Harding

Business Funding Manager

BIOGRAPHY
Angharad joined the team in February 2023 as a funding manager. She has experience in seeking and securing funding from both the public and private sector to enable growth opportunities for the business. Angharad has twenty years’ experience in both project management and business support within the region and is a qualified business advisor.
Phill

Phill Crocker

Regional Healthcare Business Manager

BIOGRAPHY
Phill has been involved in the Healthcare sector for over 20 years, having worked with some of the largest national companies in the management of both offensive and hazardous infectious clinical wastes.

He has joined us as our regional business manager, bringing the benefit of all of his past experience and customer knowledge. As we look to further expand our areas of operation, Phill will be responsible for developing new customers, account management and customer development.

Rhiannon

Rhiannon Chapple

Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Manager

BIOGRAPHY
Rhia has worked in the waste management industry since 2019, having previously worked as an Environmental Consultant involved in environmental permitting for a wide variety of sites. Rhia has extensive experience of working closely with customers and stakeholders, such as Natural Resources Wales. Rhia joined Natural UK early in 2023 and is involved with ensuring that the site maintains its longstanding compliance with the Environmental Permit, as well as working with colleagues on the development and implementation of new and exciting waste management and recycling projects. She is also undertaking health and safety training, including IOSH and NEBOSH courses.
Scarlett

Scarlett Poyer

West Wales Regional Sales Manager

BIOGRAPHY
Scarlett is a friendly and dedicated sales assistant at Natural UK, joining the team in May 2023. Working alongside Jason and Phill, she brings a positive energy and collaborative spirit to the team. With her exceptional customer service skills, Scarlett builds strong connections with clients and ensures their satisfaction. Her product knowledge and friendly approach make her a go-to resource for customers seeking guidance. Scarlett consistently contributes to the welcoming environment for both colleagues and customers.
Amy

Amy Jones

Finance Assistant

BIOGRAPHY
Amy recently joined us at Natural UK, having previously worked within the sporting industry. To supplement and develop her existing qualifications, Amy is currently in the process of gaining her Accounts qualifications at a local college, whilst balancing the demands of a busy working life.

Amy deals with customer queries, raises customer invoices and processes and apportions payments we receive. She has an understanding of all aspects of our Accounts department and is always happy to assist in a friendly and professional manner.

Dorota

Dorota Urbas

Finance Assistant

BIOGRAPHY
Dorota recently joined the finance team at Natural UK, having previously worked within various accounting roles, in both the manufacturing & hospitality sector. Her role is to provide additional support for our busy finance team, dealing with administration issues, customer liaison and providing information across all departments.

Dorota is currently qualified to level two of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting – Level 2) and is determined to advance and continue these studies to further develop her accounting skills. She is also qualified in purchasing & procurement, together with payroll administration.
