Offensive Hygiene Waste Collections

Natural UK is now the appointed contractor for Carmarthenshire County Council, to collect EWC 20-01-99 Incontinence / Offensive Hygiene Wastes (Yellow with Black stripe ‘Tiger’ Bags), including adult nappies, incontinence products and hygiene waste. The cellulose fibres and plastics from this material is then separated and re-used.

New Locations Required

As part of our next stage of development, we are keen to acquire suitable industrial space (approx. 15,000 sq. ft.) in both North and South East Wales. We plan to locate additional nappy recycling facilities close to the areas in which the waste is generated, thereby significantly reducing the carbon footprint of its treatment.

Environmental Management System / Environmental Impact

Natural UK is accredited by a comprehensive ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Since commencement of trading, we have adopted an Environmental Policy and currently recycle over 93% of all waste generated at our office and warehouse facility. To minimise our environmental impact, where available, we obtain and supply products from reclaimed or recycled product. Since 2006 all of our clinical sacks are made from reclaimed and recycled plastic and all germicides used are tea tree oil based.

To further reduce our environmental impact, construction of our new offices and depot was undertaken, where possible, using ‘green’ sustainable building products. By mid-2014, a grey-water utilisation system was installed to capture rainwater for our recycling process.
